Family reunion to Fripp Island

 It is only my sister and I that are left from our immediate family.

We promised each other to get together after our Father passed away. Fripp Island in South Carolina was the destination. Lee was very, very gracious in securing us a great VRBO on the beach. Her family and mine gathered from the West coast SC. and NC.. We golfed. Shopped, swam, kayaked, ate, drank, laughed, and shared our love.

Sold one bike, got a new one

 Sold my KLR650. I had it for about 8 years. It was just time for something different. As much as you might like your bike, you can’t take it personally. I just think about what adventure is next. 

The next adventure is a 2011 Ducati Multistrada 1200. This is an adventure bike, but has very good suspension  geometry and ergonomics. The seating is very comfortable for rider and passenger. It has removable side bags. Heated grips and a computer system that controls the suspension. What a smooth and fast ride.

Covid-19

 Well, It finally hit us here at the house. Two of us got it. It has been like a cold, and not even a bad cold. From start to finish it is 3 weeks and there is still a nagging cough, and a slight lose in Taste and Smell.

The question I get is where did you get it from? I work alone, and basically go back and forth to work/home.

One day I went to Home Depot, but I had a mask on. So either the masks don't work, or I got it from a door handle.

We will be fine, thank god, because I have seen some people get it much worse. One of our family members died ( 2nd cousin) but he also had a bad heart, and was a smoker.

Jeeping Pinyon Mountain

 This is the only “Jeep badge of honor”trail in the area, and we completed it. There were a few treacherous obstacles such as “the squeeze “. , “heart attack hill “.

I took on the first two, and got stuck once the rest of the trip was Sydney driving, she did great!

Desert season and a proposal

 Amber and her boyfriend came out from South Carolina. It was for Christmas and and a surprise. We borrowed a quad and a RZR for all of us to ride (we already had the two bikes).

It was windy, but we made it work.

Mike found a great spot for us to take pictures and turned it into a proposal. 

She said “Yes”.

Another friend (Dan) met us out there to test his new Turbo/ engine repair. 

Wyoming was next

Wyoming was designed to be a hunting trip, but along the way I was joined by my wife and daughter. We did some hiking, some shooting, scouting for deer, elk, and moose. We also visit Jackson, Teton and Yellowstone parks. The Parks were like walking into a State that has never been discovered. The pools, geysers, waterfalls, bison and moose, are awe inspiring. We have been to the city of Jackson before, and the city is charming, and surrounded by mountains and the Elk preserve. It is starting to get crowded, and construction gave us traffic. We have seen deer right in town.

There was a lot of land that had been scorched by fires from about 2 years ago. The animals are starting to move back in. We were able to harvest a Mule deer. This was a mature deer. it is also the biggest deer I have had a first hand encounter with. This deer head will get mounted.

The girls enjoyed sight seeing, riding atv's, and shooting. It is a great get-away, and it would be a cool place to have a 2nd home (skipping the harshest part of winter). The real estate market is very expensive ( thanks to: out of state'rs moving in to escape the bounds of their over controlled state)

It would be a dream location to get away, Idaho is along the same lines. Maybe one day, I could afford something like that.
